Pat Miller has taught at Emory since 1986 and was Managing Director of Theater Emory through 2004. She has produced such Theater Emory projects as the tour to the international Samuel Beckett Festival in The Hague, The Netherlands, and the Theater Emory collaboration with SITI (Saratoga International Theatre Institute) for the 1996 Olympic Arts Festival. She has served as chair of the Interdepartmental Theater Group for the University Center in Georgia, as president of the Atlanta Theatre Coalition, and as secretary of the Southeast Playwrights Project. Her varied experience includes projects for the Dallas Theater Center, the Texas Institute for Arts in Education, and the Georgia Council for the Arts.
Before coming to Emory. Miller co-founded and for seven years was co-producing director of Chocolate Bayou Theater Company, a professional, non-profit theater nationally acclaimed for its work with new plays by contemporary American playwrights.
