Mary Lynn Owen has enjoyed a nearly 30 year career, performing leading roles in such theater productions as Kimberly Akimbo at Actors Express; Medea, opposite Phylicia Rashad, and Elliot: a Soldier’s Fugue, both at the Alliance Theater; The Night of the Iguana at Theater in the Square; Betrayal at PushPush Theater; The Tale of the Allergist’s Wife at Horizon Theater; The Last Night of Ballyhoo at Georgia Ensemble Theater; a Spanish/English production of Life is a Dream at Aurora Theater; and at Theater Emory, where Mary Lynn is a lecturer in the Theater Studies Department, Statements After an Arrest, She Stoops to Conquer, and The Time of Your Life.   She has twice been cited by the Atlanta Journal and Constitution as “Best Actress in a Leading Role,” and also named one of “Atlanta’s Top Ten Actresses” by The Sunday Paper. Recent film credits include the award-winning independent film, The Bread Squeezer, and the feature film, One Missed Call.
