At Theater Emory, a professional theater company in residence at the University, undergraduates collaborate on important plays with professionals: directors, actors, designers, playwrights, dramaturgs, technicians, and stage managers, including the DepartmentĂs core faculty. Professionals, in turn, are inspired and refreshed by a research-based theater that poses questions, challenges assumptions, and examines values in productions of classics and new works.
There are many forms and levels of involvement available. Any student may audition, regardless of major, academic year, or prior experience, or join in the design, technical, management, or research aspects of Theater Emory productions. For many projects, students can earn academic credit. Theater Emory is a rare opportunity for growth for students with many different interests and career goals.
