At Theater Emory, a professional theater company in residence at the University, undergraduates collaborate on significant and challenging artistic projects and plays with professional artists: directors, actors, designers, playwrights, dramaturgs, technicians, and stage managers, including the Departmentís core faculty. Professionals, in turn, receive a rare and inspiring experience with a research-based theater that poses questions, challenges assumptions, and examines universal perceptions within theatrical productions of classics as well as new works.

There are many forms and levels of involvement available. Any student may audition, regardless of major, academic year, or prior experience, or may join in the design, technical, management, or research aspects of Theater Emory productions. For many projects, students can also earn academic credit. Theater Emory is a rare opportunity for students to grow and develop artistically regardless of each student's varied interests or career goals. We encourage all students to become a part of this process and experience an artistic atmosphere of depth and creativity.
